Ohio Wesleyan University held its 170th commencement ceremony May 11. The Ohio Wesleyan Class of 2014 included 390 spring, summer, and fall graduates, with 65 cum laude, 33 magna cum laude, and 20 summa cum laude honorees. Four students - Karli Amstadt, Alyssa Carothers, Jessica Martin, and Carolyn Thompson - graduated with perfect 4.0 grade point averages. Congratulations to OWU's newest alumni!

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2014 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must have a GPA of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits. The following local students have achieved this honor:

More than 200 SUNY Potsdam students completed one or more internship placements at companies, non-profits or campus departments in the Spring 2014 semester. SUNY Potsdam's internship program places students with employers whose interests align with their studies. Each student has a faculty sponsor, and earns between 1 and 12 credits toward their degree requirements for successfully completing the internship.
